The ESNcard is a membership card that we offer to international students, but it is not required to participate in any of our events or activities. It will, however, give you great discounts on almost all of our activities and all of our major trips. We sell ESNcards every week at Open Office on Thursdays from 16:00–18:00. You can find our office here.

Internships within Erasmus+ programme or other Mobility programmes
Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters.
International interns
International degree students
An ESN volunteers or alumni
Buddies of Erasmus students
If you are a Norwegian student going on exchange, you should instead get the card from an ESN section in your host country.

No, our events are open to all international students, however the ESNcard will give you a discount on most of our events. And going to one of our trips, the discount is usually the same or more than the price of the ESNcard.
Where can I print my picture for the ESNcard?

You don’t need to have a high quality picture, you can just print it on one of the NTNU printers. You don’t know how to print? Find out here: NTNU printing

To be able to use the international ESNcard deals, you have to activate your card here.

Not only does it offer discounts on trips and other cool stuff in Trondheim, it is also valid in all European countries that have ESN sections. To look up discounts elsewhere in Europe, go to esncard.org and you can browse through different cities and countries. We strongly recommend that you register your card at esncard.org, as this is needed to be able to use all the international discounts. Some examples are 100 NOK off Sea Battle, and 10% off flight tickets as well as free check-in luggage with Ryanair for a total of 4 flights. NB! When registering your ESNcard at esncard.org remeber to not use your university mail, since you will lose access to it when you leave Trondheim.

The discounts on our major trips are usually up to 350 NOK which are to Lofoten, Lapland, Geiranger and Vemdalen/Åre. The discount on our smaller events will vary from event to event.
